Double it up with bigger social icons

Many of you are already using a social plug-in to display your collective of social icons in your blog post, pleading your users to digg, twitter and what-ever-not your site to an array of social outlets.

But why are we so shy. . . . shooing the path with small little icons that your readers can just almostĀ  see ? Why not double it up!

A well known plugin for socializing your weblog is Sociable by Joost de Valk. This little plugin does the job and allows you to select your array of social targets by simple checkbox selection in the settings page.

This is wonderful if you are happy with 16px by 16px icons.

But why slay this wonderful plug-in just because of tiny icons, lets double them up!

So lets take a quick visit to iconspedia and download the Social Me icon pack. The social me icon pack includes 30 icons in sizes of 32, 48 and 64px.

Now all you need to do is FTP over to your site and replace the your selection of icons in /wp-content/plugins/sociable/images. Please note that you must keep the same filename and make sure that the image extension is the same since .gif and .png images are being used in the plugin.
